Appylson and the Twister Slide
There was once a normal boy called Appylson
Lemy. He lived in a building in San Francisco. One sunny morning, Appylson’s
family decided to go swimming in the pool. When he went there, he saw a slide
which had been installed last month. Appylson wanted to try the slide out. He
went on it. Towards the end, he fell happy to get out. Suddenly the water
formed a twister. Appylson got sucked into it. When he was out of twister he
found himself in a magical land.
A tiny pixie came up to Appylson and asked
who he was. Appylson said, “My name is Appylson”. Right after that, a wizard
(who looked like he was evil) appeared in a cloud of black dust and said to
Appylson, “Ho, Ho, Ho! Another victim, eh! Well you have to cross this land to
get back home! Try your worst” and the wizard disappeared.
Appylson bravely went to a sign saying,
“Twenty riddles to solve each day, this is where the pranks will stay”. He
guessed that was pixie land. Another sign said, “The place where you can
reflect, and go to any place you suggest”. Appylson went that way, but did not
notice that it had a cross below. When he went there, he got caught by stinky
and smelly trolls. Appylson remembered
that trolls could not stand light. He took a pocket sized torch from his pocket
and shined it on the trolls. Well, that did the trick. Every single troll
melted into water. One puddle of troll-water had a riddle saying, “One troll leads you the way, while
others have nothing to say”.
He immediately jumped into the puddle the
riddle was on. Well, the puddle” said” a riddle and none of others said
anything. Sure enough, it led him to a land; to the land of witches. The queen
of witches, Evalina, was a lady with braids. When she swung her hair, Appylson
noticed a paper. The next time, he ran quickly and caught the paper. It was
written, “If you have a sharp brain
and sharp eyes, you will always rise”. He looked through the window and saw the
sun was going to rise.
Appylson jumped out of the window and met a
fairy who granted him a wish. He wished he was in the land of magical mirrors.
The fair waved her wand and it sent him there. When he went to the palace, a
creature was guarding something. Appylson asked the creature, “Do you know how
I can get home?”. The goofy creature said “Here’s a clue. Laziness and silliness, if you never part, you will never be able
to reach your start. Good luck!”. The weird creature moved and there was a
passage way. Appylson rushed in there and found some mirrors with pictures on
them. He felt confused. Then he remembered the clue, ‘start’. Yes! The starting letters of the riddles!
O-I-L, OIL! One mirror had a
picture of corn oil. He jumped through that mirror. It led him through a gravitational portal that whisked him
home! Then he lived happily with his family, there after.
The end*
